Overview
Indigo6 designed an identity for musician Andy Church’s music publishing company, Garland Ruby Music. Andy has been making music since 1960, and the name “Garland Ruby” is taken from his grandfather’s name, Ruby Garland. We wanted the mark to create a sense of history and place, as well as be expressive and personal. The type treatment is based on Julian Waters’ classical calligraphic roman capitals, and the identity includes the full logo in addition to a compacted version for use on the spine of Andy’s CD packaging or other small spaces.
